China’s consumer inflation eases in April to lowest level since early 2021

China’s consumer inflation eased to its lowest level in more than two years, as food and nonfood prices moderated, official data showed Thursday.

The consumer-price index rose 0.1% in April from a year earlier, slowing from a 0.7% rise in March, the National Bureau of Statistics said.
