Counting under way Mid Beds and Tamworth by-elections

Counting is under way in two by-elections for seats in the House of Commons.

The BBC looks back at why Conservative former Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries stood down in Mid Bedfordshire, and at ex-deputy chief whip Chris Pincher’s departure from the Tamworth seat in Staffordshire.

Both results are expected in the early hours of Friday.
